General App Information
1. What is Simplify and what does it do?
Simplify is an all-in-one wellness app that brings together daily scheduling, fitness, diet, hydration and period tracking, all into one central location so you can spend less time planning and more time doing.
2. Is Simplify free to use?
Simplify has a 14-day free trial that you can use to try out the app. You will be required to purchase a subscription once the trial ends.
3. What are the differences between the free and premium versions?
The free trial comes with all the features in the app making the experience the same as on the premium version.
4. How do I upgrade to Simplify Premium?
You can subscribe to Simplify Premium by clicking on the profile icon and following the prompts to upgrade.
5. Does Simplify require an internet connection to work?
No, Simplify works online as well as offline. In offline mode, images and workout gifs will not be available as they’re stored in our servers but all other core functionalities will be present.
6. Can I use Simplify without creating an account?
No, you will need to log in using your email or through Google sign-in to use Simplify.
7. Does Simplify support multiple languages?
Simplify currently supports English only. We may add additional languages in the future depending on customer feedback.
8. Can I use Simplify if I work night shifts or have irregular hours?
Yes, while our default presets are designed for a standard 9 to 5 work schedule, you can edit these presets or add new ones and schedule new events that make sense for your schedule.
9. How do I report an app bug or request a feature?
You can report bugs or request new features by going to our website, www.mysimplifyapp.com and filling out the Contact Us form.
10. What happens to my data if I uninstall the app?
On uninstallation or the end of your subscription, all user data is stored for a period of 3 months before it is permanently deleted.
11. Does Simplify support family sharing or multiple profiles?
No, Simplify does not support family sharing or multiple profiles. However, we’ve provided all users with the ability to toggle on the Period Tracker module in case someone in your family would like to use it or the Menstrual Phase Programming feature. Note that enabling this feature will affect the calculations for your fitness and nutrition goals.
Daily Scheduler
1. What is the Simplify Daily Schedule feature?
The Daily Scheduler allows you to plan and schedule your daily routine in a way that makes sense for you. It also allows you to toggle notifications on or off for different events.
2. Can I customize my entire day?
Yes, you can customize your entire day by either adding or deleting events on a daily basis or by editing the default presets.
3. Does Simplify support a standard 9–5 structure?
Simplify’s default presets are designed to support real-life routines based on age groups including the standard 9 to 5 work schedule.
4. How do I edit, delete, or reschedule items?
You can make all modifications to a scheduled event by clicking on the pencil icon under the name of the event.
5. When do changes to the Presets come into effect?
Across the app, any changes in the timings to presets or workout plans come into effect at midnight the following day. To make changes for a particular day, you can modify the timings of an event on the given day manually by clicking on the pencil icon under the name of the event on the Daily Scheduler page.
6. Does Simplify sync with Google Calendar?
Currently Simplify does not support syncing with external apps.
7. Can I receive reminders for workouts, meals, hydration, and wellness?
Yes, once you schedule an event corresponding with your workouts or meals, you can toggle notifications for these events. Our hydration module is also connected to the daily scheduler and you can modify when you receive reminders to drink more water.
8. Can I plan ahead for travel or vacation days?
You can plan ahead for any event as you please by selecting the date you want to schedule specific items for when clicking Add Tasks + button.
Fitness Module
1. What types of workout plans does Simplify offer?
Simplify offers a wide variety of pre-built workout routines designed for people with all levels of fitness experience and access (or lack of) to equipment or a gym.
2. How do I switch between plans?
You can switch between plans by selecting your desired workout plan and clicking on continue or Begin Plan.
3. Can I customize my workout plan?
All workout plans in Simplify are pre-built routines and cannot be customized.
4. How do I log completed workouts?
Every exercise has a track button that you can click on to track workouts. Once you complete each exercise, Simplify will log your progress.
5. Can I skip or reschedule a workout?
You cannot skip or reschedule a workout. Simplify’s workout plans are designed in a way to help you be consistent. If you miss a workout for any reason, don’t worry, just continue to stick to the plan as best as you can and you will see progress before you know it.
6. How can I track my progress over time?
The Analytics Tab in the fitness module tracks your progress over time and allows you to make changes to your goals depending on your current needs.
7. Are warm-ups and stretches included in every workout?
While optional, we highly recommend warming up and stretching during every workout. Your plan links to our library of warm-up and stretching exercises.
8. Can I replace an exercise in a workout or add my own?
At this time, no modifications can be made to the workout routines. We may add replacement exercises to our library at a later time depending on customer feedback.
9. Does Simplify provide instructional videos or GIFs for each exercise?
Yes, Simplify has partnered with Gym Visual to provide high quality X-Ray style workout gifs for each exercise that also show the muscle groups that are activated. This way you will never need to look up an exercise online to know how to do it.
10. How do I reset my workout plan?
You can reset your workout plan by first selecting a different plan and then switching back.
11. Can I view my full weekly workout schedule?
Yes, you can view the workouts for each day of the week and subsequent weeks by selecting the desired date.
12. Does Simplify integrate with smartwatches or fitness trackers?
Simplify does not integrate with any third party tools at this time.
13. Is there gender-specific workout recommendations?
By completing the onboarding questionnaire of the period tracker module, you can enable menstrual phase programming which provides recommendations on fitness and diet based on what part of your cycle you’re in.
14. Does Simplify recommend rest days automatically?
Yes, Simplify’s workout plans have been optimized to include rest days as well as keep weekends free for you to rest, recover and enjoy the other parts of your life.
Diet Module
1. Can I track my daily calories and macros?
Your daily calorie intake is automatically tracked based on the dishes you add to your day’s meals.
2. How can I log what I eat?
You can add meals to your day by clicking on Generate Meal which will automatically add recommended dishes to your meal based on your needs or you can click on Add Dish + to manually select your favourite dishes from our recipe library. By clicking on the checkbox on the dish card, you can mark the meal as eaten which will log your calorie intake.
3. Can I create or log custom meals?
Yes, by clicking on the 3 dots (…) on the dish card, you will see the option to select “Ate Something Else” and add the approximate calories of the dish you’ve eaten. We may consider adding more robust features to track dishes not available in our recipe library at a later time based on customer feedback.
4. Can I edit serving sizes?
Yes, serving sizes can be changed in 0.5 increments by clicking on the plus or minus buttons in the dish card.
5. Can I exclude certain ingredients (e.g., nuts, dairy)?
Yes, you will be asked about your dietary restrictions in the diet module’s onboarding questionnaire.
6. Can I save favourite recipes?
Yes, you can pin or select repeat daily for your favourite dishes on the dish card.
7. Can I log my meals directly from the recipe list?
Yes, when you view a dish in the recipe library you will be given the option to add the dish to any of your meals.
8. Can I view my nutrition history?
Yes, you can track your nutrition progress through the analytics tab in the nutrition module as well as edit your goals.
Hydration Module
1. How does Simplify calculate my daily water goal?
You may have noticed how we asked your country and the average temperatures when you first logged in. Simplify uses this information and your activity intensity to determine how many glasses of water you’ll need to drink.
2. Can I edit the hydration goal manually?
No, you cannot edit your hydration goals manually. However, you can treat the hydration goals as the minimum you should be drinking every day. You can always drink more water, in fact we encourage it.
3. Can I set hydration reminders?
Yes, you can set hydration reminders through the Presets or by clicking on Edit Time in the Analytics tab of the hydration module.
4. Can I see hydration history over time?
Yes, you can view your hydration progress through the Analytics tab of the hydration module.
Period Tracker Module
1. What are phase-based overlays?
Menstrual Phase Programming is the primary feature of the period tracker module. Once you’ve completed the onboarding for this module, you will notice toggle icons in the fitness and diet modules. Enabling these will provide you with detailed guidelines on how to modify your exercise and diet routine to provide optimum benefits as well as general wellness tips to make you feel betterduring each phase of your cycle.
2. Can I turn off the menstrual module?
Yes, you can toggle phase programming on or off at any time.
3. Can Simplify sync cycle data from other apps?
Simplify does not connect to third party apps at this time.
Account & Privacy
1. How do I edit my profile (name, gender, goals)?
You can edit your details, and any onboarding questionnaires for each module by clicking on your profile icon and following the prompts.
2. How do I delete my account permanently?
You can visit our website www.mysimplifyapp.com and use the Contact Us form to ask us to delete your data permanently by mentioning the email you used to log in to Simplify.
3. What happens to my data when I delete my account?
When you request permanent deletion, all user data will be deleted immediately and will no longer be available. Accounts that haven’t upgraded from the free trial or those with expired subscriptions will have their user data retained for 3 months after which it will be marked for permanent deletion.
4. How do I manage notification permissions?
You can enable and disable all notifications by clicking on your profile icon and following the prompts.
5. What happens if I change devices?
If you are on an active subscription, you will retain all your scheduled tasks, progress and analytics across all modules for a seamless transition to a new device. Data will not be saved if you are on a free trial or if the data retention period for an expired plan has lapsed.
Subscription & Payments
1. What subscription plans are available?
After your free trial, Simplify offers monthly and annual subscriptions with holiday discounts available on major holidays.
2. How do I cancel or downgrade my subscription?
You can downgrade your subscription by switching from annual to monthly through the Simplify app. To cancel your subscription you will need to access your subscriptions on the Play Store or App Store.
3. Do I get a refund if I cancel early?
No, but you will retain access to all premium features till the end of your subscription date.
4. Can I switch between monthly and annual plans?
Yes, you can freely switch between plans. New plans will come into effect after your current plan ends.
5. Does Simplify offer trial periods?
Simplify comes with a 14-day free trial after which you will be required to subscribe to continue using our features.
